There are not going to be a lot of individuals that want anything to do with the Colts in sport betting on Thursday night after what happened to them last week.

The Colts do not win much in the preseason anyway but last week was an embarrassment as they allowed 59 points to Green Bay. Making an NFL wager on the Colts in the preseason has been a quick way to lose money.

NFL betting figures will likely prefer the Bengals in this competition simply considering the Colts are so horrible in the preseason. And this is not surprising. In the regular season they turn it on and do just great, although it seems the Colts lose all the time in the preseason.

Cincinnati Bengals Backups versus Colts Backups: This is the 5th preseason game for the Bengals when betting football considering that they performed in the Hall of Fame Game and it’s the 4th preseason game for the Colts. Neither team is going to play their starters long, if in any way. The game is all about the backups. When it comes to backup participants the Colts are simply not quite good. Backup quarterback Curtis Painter has been awful in the preseason and he will likely get most of the snaps on Thursday. Last week he was six of eleven with an interception. His quarterback rating was 46.4. As JT O’Sullivan has played well, at least the Bengals have a quality backup to Carson Palmer. Even 3rd string quarterback Jordan Palmer is a lot better than Painter. If the Colts were playing Peyton Manning and the starters then they would be worth a look but lacking the starters, the Colts are simply a bad football team.

Anyone Enthusiastic: Can there be any motivation for either of these teams? The Bengals have performed 4 matches by now. They only want to get out of this competition and go home since they’ve got nothing to prove. The Colts backups likely do have some motivation to play better but after last week’s disaster, gamblers are not going to want to take them. The value in this match is on the Colts but do you actually want to make a NFL wager at online sportsbook on a Colts team that is 9-23 in the preseason since 2004?
